-- Race To Heal will have an information tent set up at the remainder of the 2010 regatta races at Ke'ehi Lagoon.. Kaupiko regatta on July 18, OHCRA Championships on July 25 and State Championships on August 7. Stop by to chat with the Race To Heal team and grab some educational cards/magnets!

-- Race To Heal visited another transitional home in March, this time in Kaimuki, to do a presentation on breast health and the importance of early screenings. If you have groups in the Native Hawaiian community who would benefit from such a presentation, please be in touch! Mahalo nui!

-- Race To Heal will be coordinating the bus shuttles for the 2009 Great Aloha Run on Monday, February 15! Wear pink & throw us a shaka, if you are participating in the annual charity run. We'll be at the Stadium bus shuttle stop from 330am to race start! www.greataloharun.com

-- Race To Heal joined a group of Maui breast cancer survivors, "The Pink Ladies," on their voyage from Lahaina, around Lana'i then back the next day the weekend of October 17 & 18, 2009. The voyage raised cancer awareness and money for the Pacific Cancer Foundation on Maui. Our team was honored to meet, get to know and paddle with an amazing group of survivors & their supporters!

-- Race To Heal will have educational inserts on Breast Self Exams (BSE) & "Test Your Tatas" reminder magnets in each Na Wahine O Ke Kai race packet. We will also have a booth at the Hilton Hawaiian Village finish line. Come on down Sunday, September 27 from 11am on to check it out and see race finishers, including R2H team members Madi, Miki'ala and Jaimie, coming in around 12:30-1:00pm! www.nawahineokekai.com

-- Race To Heal to be on Olelo TV's HI Christian Coalitan's Reports on Saturday, September 26 and October 10 at 930AM! Check it out!

-- Race To Heal will be visiting Salvation Army's Ka 'Ohu Hou O Manoa, a transitional home for women, to do a presentation on breast health and the importance of early screenings on Sunday, August 16. -- The July 16 S&S Cup Golf Tournament in memory of Clarence Shimoko was a HUGE success!  Proceeds went to both Christian Family Charities & Race To Heal.  Endless mahalos to the Shimoko 'Ohana, Roy Yonaoshi, John Bresnahan, Kimo Ahoana, Danny Kaleikini and the many, many volunteers, donors & participants!

-- Decorating Luminaria bags in memory of someone special who has been affected by cancer. These bags will be lit at Relay For Life on July 11-12 and all proceeds from bag sales to benefit the American Cancer Society.

-- Jessie & partner Arlene Holzman took 2nd while Jaimie & partner Emili Janchevis took 4th and Madi & partner Shien-lu Stokesbary took 8th in the open division of the Ka'iwi Channel Relay! Congrats on 3 top ten finishes for the Race To Heal Team! Check out photos from the race below!

-- Jaimie took 3rd Place in the PA'A Ka'iwi Channel Solo OC-1 World Championship Race from Moloka'i to O'ahu on Sunday, April 19, 2009.  10 knot south-west winds made for a grueling 32 miles on the water. Congrats!
